LENNY'S
HOW IT WORKS
With a seemingly never ending list of wines to choose from, you're sure to find the one that you'll love. Each batch makes 28-30 bottles, and the price you see includes the kit, service fee, and applicable taxes.
The Wine Making Process
-
Visit your local Lenny's Wine Cellar.
-
We'll help you choose the wine kit (or kits) that's right for you.
-
Start your wine by sprinkling the yeast into the juice to start the fermentation.
-
Our skilled staff members will handle the rest of the winemaking process.
-
About 4 to 6 weeks later, depending on the quality of kit you chose, we will let you know when your wine is ready to bottle.
-
When you come in for your bottling appointment, we'll sterilize your bottles for you (or you can buy new ones from us for $1.50/bottle). As your bottles get filled, you'll use the air-powered corker to cork them, shrink-wrap the tops in the color of your choice, and apply your labels.
-
You can also choose to bag your wine, just ask.
Wine Storage Tips
Here are some wine storage tips to ensure top quality wine:
Do:
-
Store your wine upright for the first 3 to 5 days.
-
After that, store your wine on its side to keep the cork moist.
-
Store your wine in a cool, dark place.
-
Your wine should be stored where the temperature is CONSISTENT. Bright light, movement, and temperature fluctuations can negatively affect the quality of your wine.
Do Not:
-
Do not constantly turn your wine. Red wines will sometimes dust (leave residue on the inside of the bottle). This is normal. Simply decant your wine.
-
Do not store your wine directly on a cement floor. Put a thick piece of wood under your wine storage boxes.
-
Do not store your wine on heated floors.
